The Livingston Chamber of Commerce hosted a business networking meeting on April 27th and invited the local Greater New Jersey Chapter of The Alzheimer’s Association as the Sponsor. During the meeting, President of the Livingston Chamber, Monte Ehrenkranz, presents a check to Cheryl Ricci-Francione, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association with a donation to support their organizations mission.
All donations go towards their ongoing work in providing Alzheimer’s care, support programs, education, and accelerating research for a better quality of life for all those being impacted by this disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common form of dementia. Dementia is not a specific disease. It’s an overall term that describes a group of symptoms. 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Researchers believe there is not a single cause of Alzheimer’s disease. It likely develops from multiple factors, such as genetics, lifestyle and environment.
The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
