Livingston Chamber President

President’s Message from The Livingston Chamber of Commerce

Unfortunately, Summer 2023 is coming to an end. To me, that means a new football season, leaves changing colors, Halloween, and spending time with family during the upcoming holiday season.

As a Chamber, it is now time to begin our networking season, growing your business and committing to help others grow their businesses by meeting up with our members both old and new.

For me, the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce has always been an organization where I was able to connect with the leaders in town both business and municipal.

My job as Chamber President is to bring these leaders together, to help our members develop opportunities to make connections and to find ways to better their businesses.

Our next Chamber networking event will be on Tuesday, September 19th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Come join us at a place to be determined for networking and to hear from the NJ Economic Development Authority Small Business Liaison, Michelle Osorio. Michelle will discuss and take questions on available grants, support programs and loan products that are available to small businesses.

At one of our prior meetings, we had Tim Walker from the County of Essex come and discuss programs that were available to small businesses. I know that a few attendees took Tim up on some of the programs and received funds for their business.

My goal through 2024 will be to provide interesting speakers, help you meet town leaders and most importantly, have fun doing so.

Some ideas that I am working on are a BBQ, a Scotch and Steak Event, Women in Business, and Business of the Year Award. I am open to other ideas and people that can volunteer to help organize them.

I am also happy to introduce our new website (www.livingstonchambernj.com) thanks to John Mitrano and his staff at Techdesigno. Our calendar of events will be listed there along with photos of events and other important Chamber information.

In order for us to continue to have a Livingston Chamber, we need your support by attending events, becoming a member and considering advertising on our new website. Please visit our website and complete the application form and pay on our secured site.

I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.
